Kraus Successful in Bureau of Special Education Hearing relating to Stay Put

The BSEA recently decided a matter where a private school sought to terminate a 21 year old student shortly before turning 22 and the issue before the hearing officer was whether and to what extent FAPE was possible at the residential school and whether the private school was STAY Put under both state and federal law. The 51 page decision makes clear that FAPE is possible, mandated extra services for the young man and mandated that STAY PUT was the private institution.
